ABOUT US
In the summer of 1987, a state championship tournament was organized for the youth of our state that played coach-pitch baseball. In the discussion and planning for this state tournament, the need for an organization to represent this segment of youth sports became evident. Players, coaches, and parents encouraged the formation of this association, therefore the Tennessee Youth Baseball Association Coach-Pitch (T.Y.B.A.) was formed in Murfreesboro and has spread across Tennessee and the surrounding states. T.Y.B.A. represents boys and girls five through fourteen years of age that play coach-pitch baseball, softball, and kid-pitch baseball. We strive to provide a safe and healthy environment for our youth so that they can learn the game of baseball and display their abilities. Each year as the games progress, we continue to be amazed at the level of play these youngsters achieve. We, the directors of T.Y.B.A., applaud your efforts to help children learn the game of baseball, sportsmanship, and what it means to be part of a team. Your actions on the field and as parents in the stands set examples of high standards to help guide our children to become "Stars of the Future." We invite every team to join T.Y.B.A. and enjoy a fun-filled summer of baseball, Coach-Pitch style. As a member of T.Y.B.A., your team can advance from your Community Recreation League to surrounding Invitational Tournaments to the State Championship Tournaments held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee in July. Contact T.Y.B.A. today and come join the fun!!! Directors of T.Y.B.A.

Your team does not have to be a hand-picked All Star Team to participate in any T.Y.B.A. sanctioned event. Most of our teams are like yours, teams that have played together all year and want to play for their coach that helped them through the wins and losses. It will be a great experience for you and your team!! Give us a call and we'll help!!!
COACHES, REMEMBER THIS IS FOR THE CHILDREN! PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE A ROLE MODEL FOR THE CHILDREN, PLEASE CONDUCT YOURSELF ACCORDINGLY. SHOW THEM WHAT GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS ABOUT.

A note from the directors of T.Y.B.A.
We at T.Y.B.A. would like to take this opportunity to applaud your efforts as a coach as you enter into this year, giving of yourself, your time and the many sacrifices as a volunteer for the good of the kids. You will be instrumental in the development of their skills, their sportsmanship and knowledge of the game of Coach-Pitch. As their first coach, you will be remembered for the rest of their lives. The reward that you will reap is the satisfaction of knowing that you made a difference as you gain the respect for being a great coach, being fair to all players, and fair to your opponents. You can always reflect back on some of the great players that had the great attitude and the ability that you helped to instill. Always get the parents involved and let them know that you are also eager for their input, because winners or losers of the games your team plays, you all come out as winners. Just to be able to walk out on a field and be able to run and play and most of all, have fun and enjoy life to it's fullest!!!
